Black Bear Phase 2 is a 932 MW potential natural gas-fired generation project in Swan Hills, Alberta (Big Lakes County), located immediately adjacent to major high-voltage transmission infrastructure. The project is in early development and offers a 600 MW grid-connected load pathway, with substantial Crown-land expansion potential.
With its strategic location, existing infrastructure, and scale, Black Bear Phase 2 can support large data centre and industrial load growth in Alberta. The site provides flexibility to develop a multi-phase energy campus, with the ability to integrate generation, data centres and supporting infrastructure over time.
